Just a little comparison of Bash commands to PowerShell commands. I love to stay on the command-line. Maybe you do too?
Bash commands:
pwd: prints the current working directory
ls: lists the files and directories in the current directory
cd: changes the current working directory
mkdir: creates a new directory
touch: creates a new file
cp: copies a file or directory
mv: moves or renames a file or directory
rm: removes a file or directory
echo: prints a message to the terminal
grep: searches for a specific pattern in a file or group of files
PowerShell commands:
Get-Location: prints the current working directory
Get-ChildItem: lists the files and directories in the current directory
Set-Location: changes the current working directory
New-Item: creates a new directory or file
Copy-Item: copies a file or directory
Move-Item: moves or renames a file or directory
Remove-Item: removes a file or directory
Write-Host: prints a message to the terminal
Select-String: searches for a specific pattern in a file or group of files
